- Java · Android Studio · Firebase
The idea
Keeping personal expenses, account information and preferences together requires a clear, connected mobile experience. SpendTracker brings those everyday tasks into one Android application.
About the project
I developed SpendTracker to help users organize their personal expenses and manage financial records in one place. The project brought together expense tracking, account management, and customizable settings within an Android application.
Using Java and Android Studio, I built the application’s screens and feature logic. I integrated Firebase Authentication for registration and login, Cloud Firestore for storing application data, and Firebase Storage for profile photo uploads.
Beyond expense tracking, I added profile editing, dark mode, currency selection, PIN lock, and CSV export. These features allow users to personalize the application and export their records when needed.
The completed application combines everyday expense management with cloud data storage and account features. This project demonstrates my practical experience in Android development and Firebase integration, including connecting user interactions with backend services and organizing multiple features into a complete application.
The approach
I built the screens and application logic in Java with Android Studio. Firebase Authentication handles registration and login, Cloud Firestore stores application data, and Firebase Storage supports profile photo uploads.
I connected the expense features with profile editing, dark mode, currency selection, PIN lock and CSV export.
Current status & learnings
SpendTracker is published on Google Play. The project brings expense management, cloud data storage and account features into a complete application. It reflects my practical experience connecting Android interactions with Firebase services.
